Hey Guys,

I am sending this letter to a few friends. This is as critical as it is unbelievable.:

Several days ago, house rules chairwoman Louise Slaughter began preparing a rule that would consider the Senate health care bill as passed in the House of Representatives without the House actually having to vote for it. That’s right. The house is planning to approve a bill without voting on it!

According to radio talk show host Mark Levin:

“Republicans now expect Democrats to pass health care through the House with a trick only Capitol Hill could dream up: approving the Senate bill without voting on it. “Democrats will vote on a separate bill that includes language stating that the original Senate bill is ‘deemed passed.’ So by voting for the first bill — a reconciliation measure to fix certain things in the Senate bill — that will automatically pass the second bill — the original Senate bill — without a separate roll call taking place”.

According to Congressman Eric Cantor:

“Most of us who grew up in U.S. government class realize that in order for a bill to become law, both houses of Congress have to vote on it.”House Republican Whip Eric Cantor Fox News’ “America Live” March 12, 2010…

Visit these links for more information (If the links are still working):

List Of Undecided Democrat Representatives

Cancor Discusses Slaughter Rule

Recent Mark Levin Radio Shows

Levin Radion Show 3-12-2010

Believe me, I wish I was wrong or misinformed. Every American, whether Democrat, Republican or Independent, should be outraged by the tactic that is being planned by the house. But don’t take my word for it. Research it on your own. I have included several informative links.

Unfortunately websites appear to be hacked and information is being scrubbed from the Internet as quickly as it is posted. If any of the below links do not work, that is probably why.

Our health care system is the best in the world. Still, it can be improved. There is much fraud in Medicare and Medicaid. Tort reform is badly needed. The cost of prescriptions can be reduced. Instead of opening the floor to debate, the Senate needs to start over and involve all our Senators, not just a select few. The same goes for the House. This bill needs to be scrapped. It is nothing but a wealth redistribution bill.

Please take the time to immediately call AND write the representatives that are undecided on this issue. Please also ask as many other s to do the same as possible.

President Obama has postponed the start of his vacation from March 18 until March 21. The weekend of March 19-21 will be critical. There is nothing more important than letting Congress know how you feel. If this bill passes, it will fundamentally and permanently change our country.

The above is from an email I received today from my father.

President Barack Hussein Obama came in number one, followed by Jesus Christ at number two, on the Top 10 Most Admired List. Not that anybody asked me (2634 American adults were polled). Seriously, I want to see a “Who is the Messiah” poll. Jesus would obviously win, followed by “I don’t believe in that,” but I’m curious what percentage would say President Obama. I’m thinking 15%. What has Obama actually done to be so admired? (Other than playing the world’s biggest con game and winning.) I get that he is the first black United States president and the historical significance of that, but what has he actually done to be so admired? He did nothing of significance as a senator. There have been a lot of community organizers who have more accomplishments and impact. This is populism at its worst.

Now I have nothing against President Obama, but he’s not actually done anything concrete at this moment. There was a woman on the news this morning saying that her biggest disappointment so far has been that the republicans aren’t working together with Obama. How more delusional can someone be?

To play Devil’s Advocate, the poll was open-ended, rather than multiple choice. Jesus and President Obama were not choices. Logically, responses for Jesus would be much lower, even for devout Christians, who would otherwise see Him a deity rather than a person. In case you were wondering, here are the complete Top 10 results:

President Obama

Jesus Christ

Martin Luther King, Jr

Ronald Reagan

George W. Bush

Abraham Lincoln

John McCain

John F Kennedy

Chesley Sullenberger

Mother Teresa

To take yet another perspective, Jesus Christ is neither a hero nor a prophet, teacher, etc. It could be argued that calling the Son of God a hero trivializes both Him and Christianity.

Quotes from Thomas Jefferson.

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we
shall become as corrupt as Europe.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who
are willing to work and give to those who would not.

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A
principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the
government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of
taking care of them.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results
from too much government.

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear
arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in
government.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of
patriots and tyrants.

In light of the present financial crisis, it’s interesting to read what
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties
than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to
control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will
deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless
on the continent their fathers conquered.

We sure have come a long way…
